From coast to coast, Keith J. Laverty design is known for its elegant style and creative touch. During the fashionable 80’s, Laverty began his career as a purveyor of antiques, collectibles and artificial flowers for such clients at Leona Helmsley at the Helmsley Palace and Ivana Trump. During this time period, Rosewood Hotels was a powerhouse in the destination market, and was in need of a talented designer for the emerging Dallas, Texas market. Laverty relocated to Dallas and was given the challenge of being the floral and special events designer for the notable Hotel Crescent Court and Mansion on Turtle Creek. His success with Rosewood Hotels led them to transfer him to their property in southern California- the Hotel Bel Air. Taking residence at the hotel, Laverty provided in house décor and design ideas. Laverty was then engaged to take his “Rosewood touch” to orchestrate the grand openings of the Peninsula Beverly Hills, as well as Checkers in downtown Los Angeles.
Deciding to return to his East Coast roots, Laverty went to New Jersey, where Town and Country magazine promptly named his company One of the Top Event/Décor and Design Firms in New Jersey and New York. The Disney Company asked for his expertise with the premiers of Beauty and the Beast at the New York Public Library, Tim Burtons’, Nightmare Before Christmas held at Lincoln Center, The Lion King held at the Rainbow Room as well as 101 Dalmatians, Toy Story and Evita. Adding to his impressive list of corporate clients, Neiman Marcus, Coors Beverages, Sabre and American Airlines.
Alas, after enduring one too many East Coast winters, Laverty made the decision to bring his talents back to the West Coast. Expanding his business to the Southern California market include Orange County, Del Mar as well as the Palm Springs/Palm Desert market. Some of his notable clients include Bighorn Golf Club where he was featured in an episode of Platinum Weddings, the Hideaway Club, editorials in Palm Springs Life and Palm Desert magazines, the Viceroy hotel, the Parker Palm Springs, Samsung Golf Classic, the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel and Pasadena, The Montage, the St. Regis Monarch Beach and La Quinta Resort and Spa.
